Principles of Game Arts Project
Science-fiction Market

In the end I am proud that I made a complete environment from start to finish. Although some background pieces only have default, starter textures, my own models all have their own unique painting.
I am happy with how much I learned throughout the project, since this was my first time using Unreal Engine. Although I have only scratched the surface of this program I feel like I have learned enough that I will be able to continue using and exploring it on my own.
The part I loved working on the most in this project were the bar stools. They had a perfect level of complexity. They had interesting shapes, while also not being incredibly hard to make.
My asset list grew along with the project. I made new elements when the need arose and I feel that it will pay off in the future. A lot of the models I made are widely used items therefore, therefore in the future I will be able to reuse some of them. For example the pipes, stairs or boxes.
In this project my biggest regret was that I could not decide on what my final composition would be. While I had an idea of what I wanted, my arrangement of different assets was constantly changing. The layout I had at the beginning was not suitable but I could not decide on the final one, because the arrangement changed with each asset I made.
If I were to do this environment again I would go with a slightly less realistic texturing. I felt that a lot of the time I was simply making real life items. Next time I want to try my hand at a more painting-like approach.
